i hope your weekend was full of wonderful…family, friends, and memories…it certainly was that for us…

here is what happens when you get a new camera & have a little more time than usual….

speaking of things that you do when you have a little more time…i just made a new tab up top…under info…it includes news on the new camera….read there ok?….

first….war eagle anyway….

thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of year…maybe better than Christmas….

programs are precious….when else can you tear up a men’s undershirt and look cute with beads hanging from it?

the family picture was even painless this year….and “aunt aaron” unofficially is in the mix…yay!!

there is always the standard reaction to our “you have to try one bite rule”

…and victory when mission is accomplished…carrot conquered

a little insanity…

i am convinced that this is standard among first few minutes with any grandparents…

and this….

and maybe this too…

but this is a little unusual…but not at our house…

my mom actually googled “candy pooping moose” on purpose….LOL

but a new tradition…

might involve the youngest almost beating the oldest..with bumpers….maybe next year….

i might ask for one of these for Christmas….or not

another milestone!! yay!!

remember…not open until january…but getting there….

slowly…very very slowly…

hello to those who read…
hello loyal blog readers and close friends… this week was full of new ventures to be sure…thank you loyal customers …. we had a wonderful time this week meeting so many of you and clearing out a wonderful amount of our samples…..the in-person “thing” and email sale alike were great and we now have hangers free to receive the spring samples that are ready and waiting….mmm…this week!!

i don’t believe in “busy”…i believe in being scheduled and balanced…and this week i think i just need to say that i failed at practicing what i believe…and there has definately not been time alotted to record life here…sigh…

but i have a feeling i will be alot more inclined coming up i have a new camera as of this week….i will blog about lenses and the new camera soon…but again there will be a learning curve in taking pictures of the holidays, mother’s day out indian programs….the new spring samples arriving daily…..and the store news…we are getting signs next week…clothing racks the week after…and i type with wounded hands after a losing battle with chicken wire- i hope to be able to share an 11′ tree built from that darn chicken wire and corduroy….fabric leaves and Christmas lights…..i hope…oooh how i hope that it works out well and it becomes our store’s main focus….other than clothes of course!! we’ll see…no pictures yet on that one….i’m just hoping at this point that we don’t have to really find out how big the dumpster is in the back of the workroom…hmmmmm

while there may not be pictures of the tree yet there are pictures here of a dear friend… sorry LY…i had to share….these are beautiful because she is a beautiful person….and she loves the Lord….thanks LY for sharing these few moments with my camera….what a joy to see you both…

and lastly…new moon came out this week and i cannot wait to see it…however, the Holy Spirit has laid on my heart that i need the same intensity in my life for God’s word that i had for these pages of fiction….the life-changing reality of the gospel needs to be written on my heart as if it is a story that i cannot put down…a love for the character of Christ that moves me to change my life to read it daily…to choose the Bible over something else…and to get up early & stay up late just to make sure that i got to finish a chapter or a portion of the story…my intensity needs work…and the Holy Spirit has not let me forget it…i am so grateful for how the spirit prompts us…

Father God i want to know more of you….God i want an intensity and gentleness about me that only comes from knowing your word more….

i guess, if i think about it…this week has been a really really long time in coming….i am realizing that everything takes a long time….(it seems…don’t shoot me for all of you who think time flies)…Mondays, and things that are anticipated with whatever amount of enthusiasm or lack thereof….good things, bad things and God things especially….

but this week…i promise i am getting to the reminder part….has been a long-term deal…to have an outside workroom that we could have a sample sale in….what a concept…i have vowed that i will not take it for granted… so all of that said… we look forward to meeting so many of you there…

so come mingle….and help us clean out our samples to make room for the new ones…PEOPLE…WE NEED HANGERS!!! LOL….let’s clear them off this week……

hello to those who read
two posts in ONE week…ha!!! or should it be hmmmm….

things are finally winding down in the workroom…or getting wound up…depends on how you want to look at it! MOST of the samples for spring are here…the designs have been drawn, digitized, proofed, tweeked, stitched, and sewn out on 14 tees for each sample set…the list of sewn items affectionately named “cutlists” have been submitted and long conversations regarding patterns & changes have officially made me crazy…but nevertheless we are ready (kindof) to take pictures tomorrow…..IDA BETTER BEHAVE….

but today? not a great day to be scouting out a dry place to take pictures since the destination scheduled is a swamp…it looks like IDA herself has been to mt laurel…
so….

hello to those who read…
a quick trip this weekend and a quick visit as well….it was one of those quality visits….chosen over quantity, as in minutes- because we all know what happens when your ambitions overtake your good common parental sense…you must not push that limit- that inner voice that says you better get your things and make a straight line trip to a path that leads to something less tiresome… so we enjoyed a drive from birmingham, visit with precious friends with a little tree climbing for the kids….a long walk (for kids) to food….and the kids made it to about halftime….the game day atmosphere never dissappoints…

and you probably know mia’s face – all too well…over it…

we loved every minute while it lasted..memories flooded my mind as we walked on campus…a precious time in life…

NEVERTHIRST UPDATE: We at BBTN have prayerfully considered a committment longterm with Neverthirst ministries. We think this group of men and women have put together a wonderful company that is committed to providing clean water through digging wells in villages situated in Sudan, South Africa, and India. 100% of the monies raised go directly to providing clean water, there are no administrative or travel costs taken out….truly amazing! We love the committment of this group (personal friends from college and after) behind the projects so we decided a few months ago to partner with them to adopt a village – meaning provide the financing for a well to be placed in an area where there is an overwelming need for clean water. That one well will privide water to more than 500 people possibly daily who would not otherwise have clean water to give to their families. To date, the staff at Neverthirst has paired us with a village in West Equatoria State, East Mundri County….the village of Witto. Thank you so much for your loyalty through letting your children wear BBTN clothing…we are hoping to be involved heavily throughout the coming years. Thank you again…we will more than likely have pictures of the village in a few weeks…
