time flies when you are spread thin…doesn’t it? i kindof wish it was the other way around…like when you have nothing to do that time would go faster…nevertheless lots has happened so tons to share today…i really should be working but somehow this seems to be more fun….so for now…cold diet coke and a little blogging…until i hear the UPS truck that is…then you all will get hosed for a shipment…quickly…
we are starting to understand the term “soccer mom” around here as baseball is three times a week (same concept right?)…minivan and lots of practices….logan’s first game was so much fun and this is for sure a new phase of life around here…a welcome one…cletes instead of sippy cups…keeping up with baseball gloves instead of pacis…sigh…

the patterns are finished and shipped off as of today…i felt that familiar feeling..the one from school that you have a term paper to turn in and you feel like the weight of the world is lifted when finished…thus today…happily meeting the faithful UPS crew at the back alley door to unload the daily shipments and the precious box containing my hard work… so for now mission accomplished…until time to work on the next new one…but this is the mess i made for a small pile…

you all know i love dishes…maybe it goes along with paper and fabric….love them all…kindof an expression in a useful kindof way….but i found these and they are wonderful…whether coffee or green tea they are used every day…..from pier 1….

a precious to start to the morning today…after the rush of getting DH and DS out of the door mia and i got dressed for the day and enjoyed “breaffass” together…here is her idea of multi-tasking…eating while absorbing every precious minute of diego long after we had chatted and talked about the upcoming day…

OH….one more…amelia and i took a road trip to atlanta…market visiting favorite laundry and another trip to the outlets in cumming…i am starting to feel like 400 is somewhat familiar…laughing because again this picture taken without correctly setting my camera as i was driving… a quick way to hem jeans? have a laugh on our roadtrip banter…

i have enjoyed so much the comments of you all!! my blackberry has been great company with your words (and it was a nice break from the 200-a-day UPS shipment notifications)…i strive not to receive your praise for the things that i choose to do in life but the encouragement that you offered there was precious.
i blog because i enjoy writing…and having a place to share pictures for family and friends (and lurkers, God love you all)…my blog causes me to take the very best out of every day…and remember it…to boil down the minutes that seem to pass so quickly and “get to the point”… i am absolutely resolved to feel life and what happens in it no matter if it is wonderful or not….and that is a new thing for me….to let myself really feel the things that are even not so great and deal with them directly…head-on. in the past i have skimmed and packed away things that weren’t so wonderful and just dwelled on the pleasant things…well…to my detriment…so for now this is my mind’s outlet, a creative playground, and a place for the transparency that should come with a big huge sinner learning to walk with Christ daily as opposed to just in the easy times, realizing God is big enough to help me through the whole day, every day… the honesty that comes with that brings freedom.

i made a deal with myself…no blogging until i finish the pattern set that needed to ship …oh yesterday or last week….or when i get it finished…so i am allowing myself a quick picture and a few words….this is the last night for the contest…so in case you still want a free outfit comment away….and if you cannot comment because you don’t have a password or can’t figure it out…send a note via the contact tab at the top…no excuses….LOL
so i think i have been standing at my kitchen island for three days or more…a new pattern in the works…hint?? it’s a different kind of pant…an original pattern although it certainly didn’t start out that way…but i get my cutter moving and it ends up completely different….mmmm i love cutting things!! hair, fabric, bushes, whatever…..so choppity chop chop….and we will have the “playdate pant” for girls and boys….i think you will love it as those who have seen the sample have so far…

heavenly father…thank you for caring enough about me to not yell and scream but to whisper and be patient…i need your patience God….give me the strength to do life God…the encouragement to do today and the patience for your hand for tomorrow….

hello to those who read…
welp…we are back from a weekend away (pseudo day #5)…we enjoyed family so much and even had a rare visit with my atlanta grandparents….what a treat and it was one of those visits where time kindof stands still (THAT doesn’t happen often)…i enjoyed their every word and the kids seemed to do the same…i seemed to notice more about them this time…and appreciated every little thing…my “papa” and i seem to share the same nose and mouth…and mia has his eyes…his brilliant blue eyes…my “grammer” has always shared the ability to make everyone feel at home just like my mom….the memories that are there because of them are precious and sacred…


while we were away we were on a serious pursuit for new clothes…i found these….do you remember my bowls? anthropologie? well, they match…cups for the kids to transition to regular cups for mia and of course they have to match to make it the the shelves instead of a drawer…and they were even 25% off….although chad would argue that they are the MOST expensive cups on the planet…only in jest of course…BUT they MATCH…the bowls…how fun right?

another precious person…this is sam….you haven’t seen him since the “meet sam and bebek post”…for those of you who are new readers….bebek is one of my very closest friends…i say sibling close…no question. sam is her youngest (of 3) and is making it through the process of dealing with a cancer diagnosis…please read his caring bridge page for the whole story…but his little face is burned into my memory and they cross my mind always…just thought i would share his sweet little picture (wearing bbtn of course)….
