i think it would be fun to give some things away….i love hearing from you and what better way to get a rise out of lurkers than to give things away right? i say “lurkers” in a super-loving, super-nice affectionate kindof way!! i have some pretty fun things in store for all of you (maybe some things from the store, sugarboo?, babylegs? we”ll see!!….participation required though…

my precious friend Kristi – owner and designer of Carys Rose Designs….has done a few projects for me lately and i asked her to make you all a set as well!! i just love what she picks….

speaking of notes….look what i got in my mailbox from paige k!! (lots of love these days for my friend)…
there is so much to be said for a note in the mail- the snail mail way…what a treat right? when is the last time you sent a card with handwriting instead of a text or an email…a lost act it seems but it sometimes means more than anything. just to say hi…. i feel most loved at the mailbox sometimes…
what’s more….sometimes the Holy Spirit has laid a person on my heart for any reason and it is so incredible to feel blessed by loving on another…. how often to we stop what we are doing to pray for way to and intend on blessing someone…? so i hold that it is more important than my “list” of things to do…my inbox, my blog posts….or anything i have to “do”… i dare say if we look at the forest NOT the trees we will see lots of wonderful opportunities to love on those around us….

everything on her site is cute but i love the christmas damask photo cards. you know the kind that still require a 4×6 picture to be attached. digital printing is fine but a real picture never gets old. hope you are well….

I was just having a discussion the other day about the lost art of handwriting. Kids aren’t learning to write like they use too. One of my favorite things to do is remember birthdays by sending cards in the mail. I treasure the handwriting in special cards I have received from family and friends that have passed away. Love keeping up with you sweet friend!
I love her bag tags. My fave has to be the Sailor Boy tag. Precious! This is my first blog comment ever. I read your blog daily and truly enjoy every bit of it. Thanks for sharing with us.

What you said about the Holy Spirit was precious. My Bible Study group is reading “Forgotten God” by Francis Chan…about how we as Christians neglect the power of the Holy Spirit. Blessed by what you said about praying to bless someone…awesome stuff!

( Sep 2nd, 2010 6:32 pm )I have seen you talk about Carys Rose Design but never clicked on her page so I am glad you are doing this give-a-way because all of her designs are so cute! I will surely keep her in mind for Christmas cards. My favorite item would have to be the Enclosure Cards. I love the freedom to customize it however I wish.

Ashley – I love the unique letter designs on the Carys Rose website! Especially on the labels and enclosure cards! I will have to purchase some soon for my girls – we need some! And I love thinking about completing Christmas cards before the holiday rush, so you have reminded me to put this on my current to do list!
